The Gancez Theme is a 3rd party Genesis Framework theme created for bloggers in the News industry. Whether you are just starting out or are a seasoned blogger, this theme can take you to the top. Although the demo version appears feminine, this theme can be easily customized to fit your blog needs. Let’s start with discussing the homepage.
The top header has a menu bar with the ability to add social media follow links, which are aligned to the right of the menu. Centered under this logo bar is your logo image area. There are two different ad spaces to the left and right of your logo image. In my opinion, it’s best to no utilize these two ad spaces. They are too close to your logo image and could damage the look and professionalism of your blog. Under the logo image area, there is another menu bar where you can link specific pages or blog posts.
The homepage is full of widgets that give this blog a beautiful appearance. First, you have two semi-large widgets that are perfect for a responsive slider plugin. I wish I had this feature on WPoutcast.
Under this is an “editor picks” widget in which you can feature certain pages or blog posts for extra exposure. A side column is included as well as footer widgets.
