The Metro Pro theme is a Genesis Framework Theme built in a magazine style layout with a huge focus on background images. This is a great looking News theme that is easily customizable. As you can see in the demo version the background image stays stationary while you scroll up and down, which is a lovely effect. You can definitely use this theme for any niche but make sure you upload a background image that blends in well to the theme itself.
Metro Pros homepage has a magazine type layout with a few custom widgets needed to be set up manually. There are detailed instructions to help you do this. Unfortunately, there is no sticky menu bar attached, but if you check the StudioPress forum, there are tips on how to add it in.
This theme does include a landing page and footer widgets. Do check out the demo to see what all this theme has to offer, and visual how it could work for you!
